Last week we did not have a lot of reading or writing to do. Instead, we concentrated on developing our group's Gantt Chart for the emergency plan project. We assigned roles within our group and develoed a timeline to help us keep our project activities on track. A timeline helps keep things in perspective, and, if things go south at some point (which they often do as far as group projects go), I am sure we will be able to adjust our work schedule accordingly.

Also, we wrote a summary of the Forster article The Role of Story-Telling in Organizational Leadership. The article makes a few interesting points about how leaders influence their employees and followers in motivating them to reach corporate goals. An effective communication can be acheived in a number of ways. One of the most effective ways is through telling a story that, by metaphorical means, will instill beleifs in a corporate mission and inspire employees to support and promote it. By engaging employees in story-telling, leaders are able to form their corporate identities, commit them to a vision, and associate themselves with an organization, a course, or a movement.
